THE OIL AND THE CAR INDUSTRIES KILLED THE ELECTRIC CAR

The demise of oil as a reliable and cheap fuel for transport systems of all types on land, sea and in the air spells the end for transport, as we know it. After all, transport that is too expensive, either because of the cost of fuel or because of legislation to limit pollution, is no transport at all.

Fortunately science and technology are coming to the rescue ' both on the fuels that will be available in the future and in the forms of motive power.

There is no reason for any further hesitation in the fossil fuels vehicle being replaced by either electrical vehicles of bio fuel and or hydrogen fuels vehicles other than the resistance of vested interests and the long haul to build the new vehicles and the new fuelling infrastructure.

The documentary 'Who Killed the Electric Car?' demonstrates how vested interests are acting irresponsibly to protect their profits. They must not prevail if sustainable development is to be achieved.
